ImagineWear Pitches to SKM, Taiwanese Department Store

On September 15th, 2022, the ImagineWear team pitched their solutions to Taiwan’s premier department chain, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi (SKM). SKM is the largest department store on the island, with over 100 million visits a year, carrying over 1900 brands, and currently has 20 physical locations in 6 Taiwanese municipalities.

This marks the first time ImagineWear has been pitched to outside investors and is a significant step towards ImagineWear’s feasibility.

The ImagineWear team met with Wendy T., the Vice President of Operations, and Sara P., the Assistant Vice President of Marketing, pitching the concept of a joint initiative to implement ImagineWear’s AR fitting room in their retail fashion stores. This would make SKM a pioneer in utilizing AR technology within their department stores in Taiwan, and complement one of ImagineWear’s areas of business corporations and larger institutions.

After thoroughly explaining ImagineWear’s solutions, presenting research and analysis, there was a round of questioning by SKM, where the team defended and elaborated on their answers, followed by discussion by both sides. SKM has expressed their interest in ImagineWear’s products, and the team looks forward to meeting with SKM again to discuss future implications.
