ImagineWear wins Creativity Award at MEC 2022

On July 12th, the ImagineWear team participated in the virtual final round of the 2022 Model Entrepreneur® Competition, after receiving impressions and comments from the MEC Judging Panel on July 6th. While the panel found ImagineWear to be an interesting idea, judges had questions regarding how ImagineWear would be able to differentiate itself from competitors. With this in mind, the team headed into the final round, where ImagineWear would compete against Unami, a sushi restaurant chain concept that aimed to improve the sustainability of the industry.

Shortly thereafter, on July 15th, the ImagineWear team was notified that they had received the ‘Creativity Award’ from the competition, submitted under the name ‘Team 101’. The ImagineWear team is grateful for having the opportunity to participate in such a competition and is extremely happy for ImagineWear to have been positively received by judges, competitors, and panelists.

With this affirmation, the ImagineWear team will continue to work towards product development, with one factor that prevented ImagineWear from placing higher being the gaps in the coding of the device.
